another question about banfield The Banfield plan doesn't cover emergencies does it? |
its routine insurance so no emergencies. so if emergency services and personal experience is important to you. VPI's premium plan might be better (i think that one is $30 a month) |
I have wondered a little about insurance and if it is affordable, what it covers, multiple dog $ etc. Any of you have input on this subject would be appreciated. :aimeeyork |
i know that VPI gives a discount for multiple pets, but you have to buy multiple plans. |
I have the Banfield Insurance...I look at it almost more like a preventive health plan because it covers all the basic things like check ups, shots, spay or neuter, etc...It's nice not to come out of pocket where all of that is concerned but when it comes to unexpected emergencies the only thing it would cover is for the office call itself. Further tests and meds are pretty much on you. |
Here is the site http://www.banfield.net/health/owp.asp Here is some info about Banfeilds wellness plan. :aimeeyork |
i think the puppy wellness plan at banfield is totally worth it because with the cost of a puppy's first year, it can get quite expensive just in dr's visits. btw, banfield's website doesn't list the premium (what you pay) for the insurance because it differs from location to location. i pay an extra $100 compare to my friend for the same insurance and we only live 60 miles apart! |
