Go Now Fresh Dog Food... Hi YT! Hope everyone is doing good. Random question. Has anyone tried the Go Now Fresh Dog food? I apologize in advance for the gross poop later on. Yager and Peanut will be 1 on June 29th and we were feeding them the puppy science diet before, we wanted to go the natural food route. They seem to love the Go Now Fresh food, however, they are pooping more than usual and the gross thing is, their poop is blackish green, and they're still eating their poop. I didn't know if it's normal for them to be pooping so much and for it to be that color. And something to do with the texture of it, Yager & Peanut are leaving behind the evidence. We tried the pineapple and the the sprinkle thing to go over their food to stop them from eating the poop and it still hasn't worked. I am hoping it's a puppy phase and that after a few months of turning 1 it would stop. |
Hmmm...Toki has been on both the Senior and the Small Breed Now Fresh and I never noticed anything funky with her poop. Hopefully others will chime in and give some good advice for the poop eating. |

Found this in the comments section: A green-black stool? Black could be blood, green may be blood or bile or the color of something we ate. In any case, it's a great idea to have it checked out unless it's a very occasional finding. The power of pet poop (yes, really) | petMD Since it's not normal color for poop, I would give the vet a call & see what they say, hope your guys will be ok! |
I have fed Go and it was fine with my dogs, but they still ate their poop! I have been vigilant about picking it up asap and hollering when I see them go for it and that has worked more than anything.... the dog food is great though. |
I've fed Go and Now with fabulous results. He actually always has very good poop while on it, haha. |
I found with Pixie that when I fed grain free she stopped eating her poop. I guess it no longer smelled like fresh baked bread to her! lol |
