any imput appreciated..human allergy issues Jess follows me everywhere and unfort since I have determined Im allergic to her I really wish she wouldn't. Im trying to get her to be more in tune with one of the girls than me as I really shouldnt have her in my bedroom. I was allergy tested last week and dogs came up pretty high on the list on the scratch test. It took two days for the hive to go away. So now I have an inhaler..which I don't like to use..so any tips for transferring her "love" to one of my kids would be great..they are off for the summer as of tomorrow so they can be with her all the time. One of my girls actually adores her no end and would love her to be her shadow. She even sleeps in her room, never has in mine.. I wasn't allergic at first, unfort it built over time so there was no warning in this..I wont give her up but I just want her to be more in tune with one of the girls instead of me so I don't feel bad telling her no when she wants to follow me into my bedroom.(where she is right now as I am on the computer):2omg: |
I would ask the doctor about allergy shots, myself. My mom was allergic to our cats when I was a kid, and she ended up on weekly allergy shots for about a year, and that cured her. No trouble since. |

Oh, my that has to so hard! I would say allergy shots for you and yes bathe Jess once a week with a shampoo that you are not sensitive to. It is best to keep him out of your bedroom as this is where you spend most of your time. An air purifier would also help in your bedroom. I hope your daughter will take on the responsibility to give you some relief. :( My oldest son has terrible allergies including severe asthma. After a visit to an allergist and skin tests to determine what he was allergic to.....dust mites, cats, pollen & molds. We ended up totally stripping his bedroom of carpet, toys, curtains, mattress, pillow and only a sheet and blanket on the bed. New pillow and a water bed made a world of a difference! His asthma attacks in the night were so much fewer! 3 of my 4 kids have allergies.....2 w/asthma, 1 also has eczema and 1 has allergies to medicines and wasp/bees...she has to carry an epie pen and has ended up in the ER so close to her throat closing! It is so scary! I wish you the best of luck! |
He suggested allergy shots if it gets really uncomfortable.. Right now I am just using the inhaler as needed and I had all the duct work cleaned and have an air purifier in my bedroom and the main room she is in when we are gone.. |
