Update on Princess Sophie's Spay Hi Everyone, I called the vet at 3 PM this afternoon. Princess Sophie has opened her eyes but has not yet gotten up. She did roll onto her back so one of the vet techs could rub her belly. Hearing that made me smile! She just loves a good belly rub. The surgery went fine, she has clipped nails, needed no teeth removed and has been microchipped. What an ordeal. I have been watching other threads and came to realize today that there are quite a few puppies going through this experience, yesterday, today, tomorrow, and I could go on. It looks like a lot of us got our pups right around the same time. LOL It's good to know we are in good company! I will be calling the vet's office back closer to 5 PM to check again on how she is doing. Praying for a good and speedy recovery for Sophie and peace of mind for me and all others going through this right now. Blessings!! |

So glad to hear the news that she's awake from anesthesia and alert if she rolled back for a belly rub!!! Try to get some rest and relax tonight all you can and don't keep bugging the tech all night - just every 3 hours or so will do! LOL. They do understand though, all kidding aside. I know you can't wait to get her back in your arms and I'm so glad she's got all of this behind her. |

YEAH! Princess Sophie's Home Hi Everyone!! The DH went to the vet's this morning at 8 AM and picked up Princess Sophie!! When they got home, it was as if she had never had surgery. LOL She's eating, drinking and I'm having the dickens of a time trying to keep her quiet! That's my Sophie! One very small bundle of energy!! :animal37 Our friend at the vet's office called to let me know she had forgotten to give the DH Sophie's pain meds. She's still on the pain meds they gave her yesterday afternoon when she woke up so I'll scoot over to pick up what she needs before noon today!! We are so thankful that everything went well and so very appreciative that everyone has been so supportive and kind. It is good to know we are not alone in this big, sometimes scary, world!! Thank you all!!! :ghug: |
