Vet today, Home tomorrow! Hi Everyone, I took Princess Sophie in to the vet this morning about 8:15 AM for her spay. She will also have her teeth checked to be sure all the baby teeth are gone and if any remain, those will be removed. One good thing is that the vet said that "usually" if they have lost all four canines those are about the last to go so we could be in really good shape with her teeth (heavy sigh). She will also get her nails trimmed (she has been really fighting with me since I cut one too short - I know it will be a long time before she gets easier on this). She will also be microchipped and since I caught her "scooting" one day, they will check her anal glands, not empty if unnecessary. I know she is in the best of hands but I'm still worrying. I keep telling myself that she is in God's hands and that worrying is a sin. So I'm a sinner!! I miss her already, so does Hansel, and can't wait till 3 PM when I can call to check on her (I bet they call me before I call them). They all are so wonderful at our vet's office and I know she is in good hands.... Guess I need to get very busy around here so I don't become a clock watcher. I'll post when I know more. Peace Everyone!! |
Yes today will be a long day for you and her. Keep busy :) |
Hope today goes fast and Sophie breezes through her surgery. I think I had the cleanest house on the block the day mine went in for their spay. Hugs |

Praying for Princess Sophie and for MOMMY :) |
ohh dear, I am sure she will be alright, but I can understand the feelings of apprehension. Not sure how I will cope when Abby needs to go for her spaying :( |
I hope you little girl does well and you can relax today until she is back in your arms again. |
Hey Diane...I don't know if your vet is one that has someone stay with the "overnighters" but you may want to ask. Some vets will allow them to come home early when they know there's someone at home to monitor them. Good luck to Sophie! |
Just checking in to see if there is any news on Sophie....... |

Me too. It's still early, so, I'll check later. :) |
Praying for both of you! Also, waiting on an update. :) |
Hoping that baby is already awake from anesthesia but resting and waiting for mommie. TLC and pampering for the next few days for the princess and aren't you SO GLAD that it's over??? It's so great when you get that call from the vet that they are awake. Hoping she has a restful night tonight though you might not, watching over her. That night of surgery we moms rarely sleep that well as we're always checking them. Post an update when you hear. Waiting with you.......................... |
