I believe she'll be fine. My baby (I adopted 3 mos ago at the age of 3 yrs) didn't eat & almost drank nothing for the first 3 days after I got him home. I almost lost it. Just give him LOTS of TLC---hold him close; show him how much you love him; take him out about every hour or two to do his business & I truly believe everything will work out. |

Have you tried putting her and a couple of her toys on your bed with you and playing that way? And also put her blanket up there, as well. |

It took Kyra a few days to adjust to her new home. She did what you are describing Miley doing. They do tend to sleep alot and then they want to explore the place when awake. Give her time she will turn into a snuggle baby before you know it. Also watch her for lethargic reactions after long play times. We almost lost Laddy that way. He was and still is so full of energy he just didn't know when to stop. He was eating and drinking fine then after playing hard with dh one day he just passed out on us. Was quite scarey. Miley is a doll by the way. |
This is all normal, she is getting used to the change and being away from her mum and siblings. Trust me in a couple of days she will be owning her new home (and you) just give her time and lots of cuddles. X |
Well it's 5:30 am and Miley woke me up haha. She's much more playful and active today. Too bad we can't go outside yet. |
It might take a couple of days to settle in and get used to everything// glad that she is eating and drinking |
I agree, it's going to take her a few days to get used to her new place. Keep playing with her, petting her, brushing her. I'm glad she's doing better this morning. |
