How do you'll manage to keep their hair out of their faces? How do you guys manage to keep the hair out of their faces other than the top knot? My yorkie have all the hair from his forehead on his face, and i brush it back to his head but he shakes his head and it goes crazy again...and he have never ever let me do a top knot, i don't know how other yorkies let u guys do them lol |
You could always cut bangs and it keeps the back hair from falling in their faces. Did this with both of mine because they were tired of the top-knots. thing is, it takes forever for it to grow back out. |
Yes - keep his hair shorter. Cruise around the site and check all the different Yorkie haircuts. Some have short - very darling haircuts - not much hair in their faces! I plan to keep my Yorkie short (at least, most of the time).... Carol Jean |
:) A baby barrette? |
I know what you mean! I was so tired of the unkept look, I cut off Roxie's top knot. But I still have problems with the whiskers. Because she is a cotton coat, her hair is thicker, so the whisker don't exactly lie down. They just stick out from her snout. Even when I let them grow longer they have a tendency to stick out. You should see her when she wakes up from a nap. One side will actually point upwards. Its funny! :p |
Well I keep Jewels in a topknot but might get it cut since it keeps matting up where I put the topknnot. |
To get the hair on the snout to lay down I use wax, the kind for human hair, does not gather food and even the water drips off, I have used it for 6 months with no problems at all..I even use it to help hold the top knot up with out flyaway pieces, looks tidy now |
Olivia doesn't have reallly long hair, but for the most part, it's usually down. My family and I love the way she looks with her crazy hair! She can see just fine and isn't bothered by it. I think she looks so cute. Depending on the length of your dog's hair, it's probably bothering you more than him! |
thank you all for ur advice...i guess i will have to try cutting his hair shorter, if he lets the groomer do it, first time he went to the groomer she couldn't do his head, she just shaved the nose hair and that's it he did not let her finished so u could imagine....thanks |

Where do you get human wax?I have tried vasaline and it did not help much. If you could just imagine her snout hair sticking our horizontal- you would get my problem. I am constantly combing it down. |
a barrette works good if you can keep it in. If the coat is really soft it doesn't tend to stay. Cutting is the best option. |
The hair was is for the teenagers that spike up there hair in those pointy styles..I get it at the local beauty supply, even smells great, will not harm hair or skin |
