Full bladder control timeline I was just wondering when a yorkie (on average) develops full bladder control. I tried to look it up but I can't find anything on it. My Brody is only 3 months old, but I was just curious what the average was. Thanks for any information. |
Good question. I'm not sure when a Yorkie's bladder/control are considered fully developed. Are you outdoor training or pad training? Successful training varies widely among Yorkies. Some take to it right away, and others take months. |
I'd say that they probably develop reasonable capacity at a Year of age. But we all know how stubborn and independent our guys can be, so individual abilities vary on those counts. HA, in other words, don't make them mad at you :D |
Maximo : I am actually potty training indoors with washable puppy pads. I plan an always using them since the weather in Missouri is rediculous. :) He is doing very well with it too. Just today he was all the way in the kitchen with me and he ran to his puppy pad in the living room, which he can't see in the kitchen and pooped on it. I was so happy! :) SWHouston : Too right! I've heard the stories. :) I figured it was probably around a year. |
