Why don't yorkie associations and CKC/AKC get these people shut down |
I was just looking at the Facebook page, and seen where she commented to someone, asking which pup they were interested in, and the persons reply was "which ever one will throw out the tiniest puppies" or something to that effect. That is absolutely horrifying to me !!!!! |
I don't know what she is mixing them with. Most likely tiny Maltese I guess. They don't even have a Yorkie face... |

Sadly neither Breeder Associations or National Clubs or the Reputable Registries have any enforcement powers, and quite frankly no funds either. Which is not to say we have nothing that we can do. We can provide alternative information, cogent arguments, pictures of dogs that meet the standard even showing some variation in a bit of things, size, face, ears, etc. WE can speak frankly about the health issues of our breed(s), and why genetic testing and developing those tests are so important, and how the reputable Registries, and the National Clubs do their best to contribute to said funding. WE can support forums such as this, with good information, and support for dog owners, breeders and the general public. |

When I saw the photos of her dogs on FB, I commented on one and stated that it's face didn't look like a Yorkie face. People immediately flipped out and said, "oh they're SO CUTE," blah blah....well they may look "cute" but I wonder what DNA would come up with. They are definitely not 100% Yorkie, you can tell by the face..... |

Education is the key!! Someone needs to make bumper stickers and t-shirts that say "there's no such thing as a Teacup Yorkie!!" |
I have to say that I don't know anything about this particular breeder, only heard that these small Yorkies are the product of runts being breeded together. Any one out there able to confirm, or correct me on this?:) Thanks! |
