White hair? My 15 week old yorkie has always had white hair on the top of her head. Now that she is getting older it seems to be that it is getting more and more white on her head. Is this normal coloring? Melissa |
I know it looks white, but it is more of a silver. That will change again to a tan/gold. You have a long time yet to watch you little baby's color chaning again and again :) |
That white on the head is often referred to as breaking white. My female had it and it changed again to a light tan. |
rosies was like that its now light honey and her greys slowley comming through and shes nearly 11 months old, so you have loads of time to seemany vchanges in her colours. |
Thanks guys! I'm glad I found this place! |
It can take up to 2 years for their adult colors to come it. It's VERY normal. My Rebel looks like an old man with his dark silvering. But I think it gives him character. It looks like he's starting to break tan and he's 8 months old. |
Oh - tell me! My pup had the same white (silver) on the top of his head. Until we examined him carefully - it looked like we were seeing his scalp and he was going bald - but, no - he just had white roots. My dog's body, sides, and tummy are turning silver (almost white) mixed with a darker color now - but he still has some black and lots of varying colors of tan. He seems to be a different colored dog every week. What fun!!! Hang in there - if your dog is like mine - you're in for a lot of color changes.
