Puppy Breath My 15 week old puppy's breath smells like honey. Not complaining but is that unusual or a sign of something or am I really lucky? |
LOL Honey? Never heard of that one! My Peanut's feet smell like popcorn LOL Usually the breath can smell pretty bad, because of the teething. Have you looking in his mouth make sure nothing out of the ordinary is going on? |
My partner says that puppy breath smells sweet. As far as I can tell, our Bella's breath is odorless, but maybe he can smell something I don't. I would say that you are blessed. |
I am blessed. Love those sweet puppy kisses. When I first got her the shampoo the breeder used smelled like honey I thought. (Spectrum 10 shampoo and conditioner) After shampoo with different shampoo she still has that honey smell. As she get older, 16 weeks now, it is less apparent.I guess I'm just lucky. |
oohh love puppy breath and puppy kisses |
Enjoy while you can, this is what a healthy mouth should smell like, with no tartar on teeth. In a few weeks, he'll start getting his adult teeth and losing his baby teeth. For a while there you get some really stinky breath a mixture of blood, and rotting food that's found its way into crevices. Around a year, the adult teeth will all be in and the breath should smell good again, as long as baby teeth have all been eliminated. The double row of teeth can cause problems. Your job is to brush and keep the adult teeth free of tartar, if you can’t do this, yearly dentals are advisable. A dog's breath should smell good, and if it stinks, you need to learn why. |
Oh puppy breath. So sweet. And the popcorn or Frito feet. . . . Galen's popcorn |
Aw! My Max kept his puppy breath all his life...even at the ripe age of 13. He always smelled so good. I think you're lucky! I've met some dogs who have smelled like they've eaten an old foot. XD |
I love to smell puppy breath! Lol! |
