I most definitely will!!! She's not coming home with me until saturday. I go see her Friday though so be expecting tons of pictures Friday night!!! Oh and plenty Saturday after we get home :D

I live 3 hours from champaign! My mom actually went there for school! I live in the Chicagoland area. Thank you! Your baby is also adorable!!

Your baby is adorable. I know from experience the wait is a killer. I made a ton of hair bows, set up her pen, ordered some clothes, etc.

her maiden name was Young. She grew up in the city but went to U of I for college. I was actually born in champaign hence why she wasn't able to finish school. :p

If only I knew how to make hair bows :( I'd LOVE to make her some but I have no idea how to do that! but its funny because I can make cheer bows all day long haha.

In preparation for Miley's homecoming i've picked up a few last minute things...i'm going to list what i have so far. Please tell me if i'm missing anything!

Crate
Bed (3 to be exact!)
Collar
Harness (Buddy belt)
leash (retractable)
food dish
Carrier (jaraden petit mon ami)
styptic powder
puppy play pen (iris 8 panel with 2 extra panels)
pee pad holder
pee pads
brush (madan)
rat tail comb (madan)
shampoo and conditioner (isle of dogs)
ID tag
blanket


things i haven't picked up that i know i need to:
water bowl
baby wipes
food (breeder says to wait since she's sending me home with food)

Add Nutrical to your list. These little babies are tiny & you never know when they might need a boost. I just put my tube in the car. Leaving in 2 hours to pick up Prima!! :happyboun

Congrats on your new baby, these are my favorite kind of threads (someone getting a puppy, showing excitement and being prepared).

I looked at your list, the only comment I have is the retractable leash. I am not a fan of a retractable leash and prefer just a good 6 foot leash and a harness when I take Sophie Kate outside.

I am sure others will have an opinion either pro of con.

and no worries on the leash, I too am not a fan of retractable after doing research! I AM getting the leash to match my buddy belt. I had the breeder remeasure her girth to make sure the buddy belt would fit and that I had predicted the right buddy belt size for Miley. but I will be ordering her buddy belt leash today :) I read a horrible story about how the retractable leash broke while the puppy was on it and the puppy got free! :eek: I would be devastated if that happened to Miley so I don't even want to take the chance!

I'm such an idiot haha I ordered her nutria-cal (tomlyn) last night along with the rest of her play pen, pee pads, pee pad holder, and the styptic powder. I guess I just forgot to add it :p

Ohh sorry I guess I didn't clarify enough! I'm driving down to TN on Friday the 7th where I'm going to have dinner with my breeder and Miley's litermates new owners. Then I get to see Miley Friday but since its a 9 hour drive home she's staying at the breeders until Saturday morning which is when I pick her up to bring her home!

That is a cute idea , everyone gets to meet first, get to share all your excitement with eachother.

When we picked up Max, I was like a deer caught in the headlights because I was so overwhelmed with emotion. His brother's family was there picking up their puppy at the same time. They probably thought I was strange because I was speechless. :p

Yes I'm so excited to meet the other family! Hopefully we can stay in touch and watch the boys and Miley grow up together.

I am extremely nervous about a 9 hour car ride home with her! I know she's not supposed to be on the group yet so potty breaks will definitely be a challenge. Max is stunning...I'd be speechless too ;)
