Happy Birthday Sandy & Natalie!
 

Sandy is umm...another year older today!

My daughter is 4 years old today! Since I'm here all the time and feel like I know you all, I just wanted to share our celebration with you!

We are having a party today for both Natalie (my daughter) and Sandy. It was a year ago that we gave Sandy her first "birthday" party - my daughter really wanted to share her birthday with Sandy last year, so we made Sandy's birthday on the same day as hers. I wish we knew Sandy's official birthday, but ah well!

I've been up since VERY early this morning baking cupcakes for the party. Sandy will be getting a "treat" of canned dog food in the shape of a heart (thanks to Junebug's pictures, I'm totally copying her!)

Sandy got a new jacket (black with animal print trim), a new pack of tennis balls (her favorite) and a couple of new fleece toys. Tia got her a greenie, since Sandy is limited on eating those now that we are actively trying to get her to lose weight.

So, it should be a fun day for everyone! Sandy is still sleeping soundly, but Tia has been all about trying to get some cupcakes this morning!

It's now been a year and a month since we've had Sandy. I couldn't be happier. It's amazing that after all she's been through she has the capasity to love and willingness to please that she does. I know she's not a "pure" Yorkie, but she does have a lot of Yorkie traits. She has been such an amazing big sister to Tia since we got her too! I love this dog more and more everyday and I feel so blessed that we get to share our life with her! I wish that she didn't have to go through everything she did to get here, but I'm so glad she's here ;)

Mushy, mushy, I know - but I love my Sandy!

Hope your girls have a happy, happy birthday! Sounds like a fun theme, will Sandy be having doggy friends over for the party as well? :)

Sandy's friends came over this afternoon. The "cake" was a hit! We had Sandy, Tia, a friends' Yorkie Simone, and a Lhasa, Remmy. I didn't want all the dogs here at the same time as the kids tonight. Sandy and Tia stay in my room when there are other kids over ;) Sandy had a blast and is now sporting her pretty new jacket and just about devoured her greenie! :D

So now I'm resting up for the other party, which will be at around six tonight! Thanks everyone for all the well wishes!
