Mickey never left his fur mammy and still he was a little nippy nip, that's was his name for a short time lol. IMHO I think it has more to do with teething and painful little gums, you can buy lots of toys that can go in the freezer and will help gums and teething or simple works best a clean sock frozen. With my little nippy nip I would direct his teeth to a rope or plush toy. Your baby is so cute, enjoy your trip :) |

Sophie at 9 months 2 Attachment(s) Attachment 394026 Attachment 394027 Sophie has outgrown her nippy ways and is sweet and lovable. I think she is full grown...6lbs. She has had her first heat. Will get her spayed after Christmas. The heat has calmed her down some so maybe I can keep her still after the surgery. |
Awww.. she's so pretty! Has all the baby teeth come out? |
Yes, except 3 of her canine teeth which will have to be pulled when she ge ts spayed. Her adult canines are in. |
What a little beauty she is. We got our Kyra at 12 weeks but she like yours was still a nipper. Just took time and patience. Glad yours has overcame it also. Sophie looks like she may stay dark like our Kyra. We love the coloring on her. |
1 Attachment(s) Attachment 394045I hope she stays dark, her daddy was the steel gray, I think she might end up that color too. I thought her head would turn gold but is is silver and blonde. The picture is of her father. I think her black will have the silver in it. I can see it at the roots but I love the dark yorkies. Your Yorkie is beautiful. Looks like the one on Owned by Yorkies. |

How about a picture of the mama?! |
aww what a beautiful pup |
Making a more dramatic sound when the puppy bites too hard and making the pup realize it has hurt you will help get her to realize that that is a bad thing. You can really ham up the injury so she feels bad. These pups are usually very sensitive to their people's emotions and get more so as they mature. Of course pups don't always have the longest memories and their attention span is not that great either so being consistent is important. Other then that giving her lots of exercise will help to lower that energy level. Lots of brisk walks or runs help. For inside work outs teaching her to play fetch can burn a lot of energy. We throw small balls from one room to the next for Gracie and she loves it. A tired puppy is a more peaceful puppy. |
