Meet Ozzy he adopted us! We are new to this site and I want to share Ozzy's story. We found an ad and went to meet Ozzy. He was matted, older than we were told, covered with fleas and he smelled so bad it would make your eyes water and was just one hot mess. He looked like he was in such need we couldn't leave him with this neglectful lady. So we paid the rehoming fee she wanted and started home. 2hrs later after a stinky ride home Ozzy has a new family. We cleaned and fought fleas and brushed teeth and he was ever so patient. His skin was angry but calmer now. He is so loving and sweet and follows me around like a shadow. I am so glad we brought Ozzy home with us. He looks at me with those sweet eyes and snuggles up close and sleeps like a baby. I love my little yorkie Ozzy!:aimeeyork |
Welcome to YT. I love the name Ozzy. He's lucky he found a loving home. Can't wait to see pictures. :D |
AHHH!!! You swell my heart!!!! You have made my day, Thanks!! |
thank you for saving him and congrats on your new bundle of love. |
Welcome to YT! I love the name Ozzy too---unique. His story sounds so similar to my Milo's except for the age. It's been pretty well documented that he's three and a half. I was lucky in that the groomer at the doggie daycare/rescue center had had him for 6 months before I got him, but she sd he ws so matted that she hd to just abt shave him. His teeth needed cleaning badly so that & a microchip were the 1st things I hd done for him. He also follows me EVERYWHERE & is soooo sweet, gentle, housebroken & no trouble at all. The only problem I have is getting him to eat & drink. Anyway, post us some pics & keep us posted on his progress. |
That's so wonderful. I am so thankful Ozzy and you found each other. Can't wait to see pictures. |
What a wonderful story. It makes me so happy that you saved little Ozzy.. Bless his heart :love: Genea |
Welcome to Yorkie Talk. I am so glad Ozzy found you! Congratulations on the new addition. Thank you for taking care of this little guy. Looking forward to pictures. |
That is wonderful. He will never forget what you did for him. You have a friend for life. Are you taking him to the vet? Those fleas cause tape worm and you know that lady probably never had him properly wormed to begin with. I hope his skin heals up for you. He may need to have his teeth checked by the vet too since she probably fed him really low grade food as well. Thank you for rescuing your new friend. Just imagine what this poor guy has had to suffer until now! |
I am so happy for you and Ozzie what a blessing! |
so happy that he found such a wonderful person to take him in, breaks my heart when I hear how neglected some pets are. Sounds like Ozzy will be living a good life now thanks to you. |
What a great story. I love hearing stories about people rescuing yorkies or for that matter any dog in trouble. Our love to Ozzy. Take good care of him, He started out with a lousy life and God bless you for making it better. |
So happy for Ozzy and you....you were meant to be together! Bless you for giving him a life he so deserves....cant wait to see pics! |
3 Attachment(s) Here are some before and after pictures of Ozzy. I had to groom him myself because he can't go to the groomer until after his vet appt. and he gets his rabies shot. He came without any vet records. He was so matted at the rear it couldn't be untangled. He smells a lot better and I know he has to feel better. Thanks for all of the kind comments. P.S. His new sister Prissy can be seen in one of the pics. We have had her a while and she is really becoming attached to Ozzy. Attachment 386603 Attachment 386604 Attachment 386605 |
