Couldn't have asked for,,,,, a more perfect furbaby! I have yet to see a puppy take to a transition so easily. She is the complete opposite of Gus. She's not the nervous/shy/scared type what so ever. She slept all night without a peep. She loves to play and hop around and of course sleeps a lot. The only concern I have is that she doesn't eat much at all. I have plenty Nutri stat which she loves and will take down goat milk but has not taking down much dry puppy food. I will try dropping a little of the goat milk in the kibble and see how she does with that. Other then that I'm like a new mom with worry and excitement but loving every moment of it!!! More picture to come a little later! |
If you're giving too much Nutri-stat and goat's milk, she is not going to want to eat the kibble. You could moisten the kibble to a mush to make it more palatible for her. How old is she? Was her breeder feeding dry kibble? Also it's very important to feed a protein food along with giving Nutri-Stat to balance out her blood sugar. |
She is 10 weeks and she has been eating dry kibble for a while. I have to consider her tiny size and realize she won't/doesn't eat much. She does have an appitite because she consumed that goat milk like nothing. She ate a few pieces of kibble a bit ago. I am going to count 10 pieces and monitor her to make sure she's eating it and how often she eats. I'm sure she's adjusting. She's a happy little thing that's for sure |
I know Jack (11 weeks) won't eat much when the kibble is too big. When we had him testing the Merrick food, he liked it but would always take breaks eating it because they were basic sized kibble. When we switched him to Fromm's Puppy Gold and the kibble were a great deal smaller, he devoured everything in one sitting LOL. |
