So glad I am in tune with that little girl like I am. I knew when I went home at lunch she was acting funny. I asked her daddy if she had gotten in trouble ... LOL He said no she had been outside. I told him she was acting strange.

I will get some Advantix then after her blood work!! I had one I was using and it kept her neck and back oily. Better that than bugs! We never had a problem before with them. My Basset hung out in the back all the time and never a flea or tick. Since he past we had several Feral cat's coming in and out of the back yard!! Wonder if maybe they were bringing them in?

 | Yes these little babies scare us to death when they are sick! What were you using that made her neck and back oily? Advantix? It does make that area oily, but it will dry up in a day or so- It takes Peanut a day ˝ to dry up. You can’t bathe them for a couple days after applying the advantix, and make sure you put it right in-between the shoulder blades.. then what I do is blow on it and keep them still for a couple mins let it set it. Usually if I let Peanut go right after he will shake and the Advantix will run down… the longer you hold them the better it will soak in and not be all over.
It most definitely can be those feral cats bringing the fleas in. Feral cats are little carriers to all sorts of things! |
