Moved to a new house - Question/Advice Needed Hey YT - We recently moved to a new house with our little one and he doesn't seem like his usual self. Nothing crazy, and I'm probably being paranoid, but he just seems off. Not sick, throwing up or anything like that... just not the usual little romper we know. Thus, my question, have any of you moved with your little ones and does it take them time to adjust to a new house and surroundings? If so, how long did did it take? Thanks in advance!! |

I moved with Joey and the only thing it did was make him crazier (in a good way). We had an apt and moved where we have an acre of yard that he can run free and play in. |
It took both of mine a couple of weeks to adjust to their new home when we moved in October. They still if we start changing things act upset. |
Dogs are alot like children. They get used to one routine have a little trouble adjusting to the new one. Moving from one home to another is a big deal for kids. Also for dogs. Their bed is not where it used to be, their food. All changed. Yes, it does take awile to get used to things. |
We moved in almost 3 months ago, (from a house in MI to an apartment in NE) and both my boys adapted much faster than I thought they would. They have both developed separation anxiety though. I hope after more time they will get better, because it's so hard to leave them when they are upset. |
I too have just gone through this last month. Fiance & I had been living with my mom & we purchased a house in Sept. It took up until April to be able to move in due to renovations. We were able to take Eva several times to get used to the new house.. and it took her about a week or 2 to fully adjust.. I was so proud of how great she did in her new playroom all day. Your little one will adjust.. just try to keep a lot of things similar :) |
