Do any of you have a summer cut you recommend for Chloe? I don't want her shaved like a schnauzer. It gets so hot here in Texas that I want her hair short though. Any ideas or opinions are greatly appreciated.

There is something called the Joey cut that Nancy's boys have. Also, jadabug's 2 have this cut. Carmeow's Luma just got it.

Have you seen this cut? It's what I would do if my hubby would "let" me lol. If you haven't, I will go grab a pic and post it here for you :)

Well Kudos gets his body shaved and not his head except on the sides to make the Moehawk better.

I shave Gracie Ruth and Yogi's body very close. And I like their faces cut short with the hair on their ears left a bit longer, and just the tips shaved. And of course their ponys left long. :D

For Gracie, since she has thin hair, I shave the top part of her legs and just leave the bottom long. It looks like she's wearing bell bottoms. :p

Yogi has much thicker hair so I leave it long on his entire leg.

:thumbup: I LOVE the Joey cut!!! I might give Yoshi a Joey Cut this summer. I just have to get up enough nerve to cut his coat that I've been growing since I got him :confused:

Those are both great cuts! Gracie looks so sweet in that picture!

I gave Jilli Ann a Joey cut two days ago and she is so adorable. I did it because she is such a major cotton coat and I just couldn't keep up with all the tangles, and she wasn't very happy having to get brushed and combed twice a day.

awww, thanks, yeah, she does look sweet...don't judge a book by it's cover. :eek::p:D No really, she is a very sweet girl, she does boss her baby brother around a bit too much sometimes. :rolleyes: Just ask him, he'll tell you all about it. ;)

I love when she gets so full of herself and starts prancing around and the hair on her legs really accent her strutting.

Where is Splendora located? I'm in a suburb north of Dallas.

If you go to the groomer, request a 'lamb cut', google 'lamb cut on poodles' & you'll see where this cut comes from. Groomer is not gonna know what the Joey & Zhoie cut is loll (you should print Joey & Zhoie's pics & show it to them). I love this cut, all my 4 are sporting it.

Here is a pic of a standard poodle in a lamb cut I did in grooming school...he's the late Patrick Swayze's dog. He was around 8 years old @ the time & also had a tumor.:(

My groomer is coming to the house to cut my Yorkies fur. I have them cut close for the summer. We keep the moustache and fur on the ears but I like them short so I can flea comb them easily. It is much better and cleaner in the summer for them to be short.
