Ellie gets spayed tomorrow :(
 
I just took her food bowl away about 20 minutes ago as directed and even though it was empty she looked at me like "What are you doing?!?!"

It's going to be even worse when I take her water away at 5am! I'm going to be a ball of nerves tomorrow. Not looking forward to it. At. All.

Sending positive thoughts for Ellie for a safe surgery and speedy recovery. It is so hard taking food and water away and then dropping them off at the vet. Keep us updated.

I will keep Ellie in my thoughts and prayers. My chloe had hers done about 2 months ago. They do just fine, but us mommies worry so much. I was a nervous wreck that day. Try to stay busy and let us know how she is doing. I will be thinking of you.

Good luck! When I had Eva spayed, she was not happy with me for taking away her food & water either lol. She kept going over to it and looking up at me.. I felt terrible!

Jess was done yesterday and shes now sleeping in the sun..

I know how heartbreaking this is for you, and I am keeping you both in my thoughts and prayers today. You might want to try a baby onesie on Ellie to prevent her from getting to stitches if there are any external ones. If you put it on backwards, Ellie's tail will go through the snaps. I hope you both feel better soon and that Ellie heals very fast and has as little pain as possible.

We've got some onsies (had to find super small preemie ones for my less than 4lb ball of fire!) and I've been "making" her wear them the last few days so she could get used to them. For the most part she's a streaker :D

I called a few minutes ago to check on her and they were just finishing up her procedure. Our vets office has everyone drop off between 8 and 9am and then they get started. I waited until the very last minute to take her in.

We had them insert her microchip and also do her baseline bloodwork while she was already there.

I can't wait til 4pm when I can go pick her up! It's so strange being in the house by myself.

My friends girl was just spayed- she did pretty good. She was out of it a couple hours after bringing her home.. but then she started to walk around and look at her surroundings. She didn't eat for a couple days either.. just make sure you are prepared for Ellie, you just never know how they are going to react to the surgery.

Praying for your little girl. We had Kyra done in Dec. and she did great. The first few hours were frightening because she had a little trouble walking but I think it was the meds they used she also wore the onesies.

Praying for Ellie to heal up just fine. It will time to go get her soon. I know the wait is so hard..hang in there! :)

Ellie is home and all snuggled on my lap. She doesn't have any external sutures. She seems to be doing well. She's drank a few sips of water. The vet told us we can introduce a small amount of food in a few hours.

So glad all of that is over! Now the recovery begins but recovery is way less scary than not bring with her all day!

Glad everything went well and she is in Mommy's lap. That is the best place for them. Make sure she gets lots of rest!
