New Girl Coming This Weekend! We finally decided on a puppy and she'll be old enough to come home this weekend. She's from a reputable and professional breeder here in Utah and she ships her dogs all over the country. She has a perfect little girl for us and we'll pick her up either Friday or Saturday. Any advice or comments before we go pick her up and bring her home for her first night with us please let me know. I'm planning on purchasing a small crate for her that we'll use for her to sleep in. |
Congrats! Do you have a pic? How old is she? Who is the breeder? Very exciting!!! :) |
The breeder is Teacup Parti Yorkies.com - Home. She's coming up on 8 weeks old, born March 22nd. If you go look at the available puppies, her name on the website is Sidney. |

She is very cute! But my comments would have to be there is no such thing as a teacup yorkie and most reputable, responsible breeders here in the US send pups home later than 8 weeks. I know other places send them home before then but make sure you read the hypoglycemia tab on their website very closely for such a young baby. I hope all goes well for you. |

Welcome to YT and congrats on your baby. She is just precious. You are getting her a tad early, if there is no way you can wait and pick her up in a couple weeks- then you need to make sure you are prepared. You can find tons of information on here, so you have came to the right place! "Yorkies for Dummies" is a great book- you can find it at Petsmart, or even online. Make sure you take blankets for the car ride home. She needs to be kept warm! Read up on hypoglycemia ( low blood sugar). Pick some Nutra-cal up- if you don’t have any already. Take that with you when you pick her up so you have it on hand. Signs of Hypoglycemia are: pale gums, confusion, limp body, lifeless, weak.. any signs like those and you should give her some Nutra cal. You put a 1/2 inch dab on your little finger and put it in her mouth, on the roof of her mouth. The important thing is making sure she eats enough. Keep her warm and that belly full and you should do fine.. that book has a lot of information as well as on here- |

EmmaSophia- Please see what you can research on this breeder and like Yorkiedaze says if you can go check them out in person. We have seen lots of heart ache on here and we do not want to see that happen with you. Teacup Parti Yorkies.com - Health Contracts |
I'm sorry but reputable breeders don't send there pups home at 8 weeks and don't use the word teacup. |
She is also breeding a 3 pound dog which very dangerous and the dog could die being breed and no reputable breeder breeds a female under 5 pounds it is just to dangerous. |
What bothers me is that if you look at her puppies available, there is a buy now button, this place is full of red flags. I hate to say it, but I would be very leary to get a pup from this place. |
I appreciate all of your concerns and comments and will think on what you've said. That being said, I feel very good about this breeder and the lady behind it. |
