navillusc | 05-02-2013 11:45 AM | Deplorable conditions aside...and they are seriously deplorable...isn't the AKC only a 'registry' that can be searched to help verify 'lines' of dogs and use this information in breeding programs? I thought they maintain basically of list of what dogs are out of what ties. I am also aware that they provide activities, like conformation and agility, for dogs who are on their 'registered' list, and I know they offer a type of registration that allows a dog to be registered so it can participate in agility even though their litter was unregistered or you didn't get the papers, etc. I downloaded the form myself. :p I am absolutely no expert on the AKC and I mean absolutely no offense to anyone :D, but perhaps blame is being inaccurately placed (within the article) on the AKC in kind of the same way as 'believing' you are NOT getting a "LEMON" vehicle just because it is "registered" with the DMV, and because it IS registered, you believe you know who 'made' it, what 'parts' they used, and that the manufacturing site was spotless, etc., and that it was properly inspected and perfectly working when it rolled off the assembly line. The truth with cars, of course, is that much of the manufacturing is done off-shore, and we have NO IDEA what goes on and/or is allowed there. All we can do here is file a lawsuit when the wheels fall off, catches fire spontaneously, braking systems fail, etc.
Or, maybe I do not understand what it is the AKC does after all. :p:D
I would so love to live in a perfect world! :D |
