Enzo thinks he's a Goat! My little guy figures he can eat anything! Grass, leaves, twigs! I have a pocket full of treats when we are outside, and he will try to eat a fly! He loves it outside in our big back yard, but I don't want him to get sick! When I try to get whatever he's chewing out of his mouth, he's got a shark death grip on it! |
You have a goat too:p I had to put a leash on my litte goat and kept a close eye on him not to gobble things up:D |
I think we have a herd. I have a little goat too lol |
Oh seriously, I have seen both Brody and Mia eat grass, leaves, sticks... Brody was crunching something last week on the loveseat...yep...dried leaf...I guess one of them snuck it into the house from out in the yard. He snacked it right down when I went to snatch it away, too. Ugh... Mia chases bugs...grasshoppers, etc., and frogs...went after a Praying Mantis one day and I had to move the little guy along to get him away from her. She 'tracked' him through the yard, though and caught up with him again. That was when she went into the house. You can tell when she is tracking any 'hopper' though...she 'pounces' almost straight-legged...all four feet at once...and 'hops' just like whatever she's chasing. Funny girl...:D At least, most of the time, I feel grateful that it's not poo...:p |
Make sure your yard is safe from plants that could harm your baby. Errrr goat. LOL |
It's actually a big relief that some of you have a goat too! :) I suspect whatever roughage he eats will make it out the other end ;) |
You're not alone. Bentley is a goat too. I'm seriously considering a muzzle when I take him out. I know it seems harsh but starting to weigh the cons of Bentley not being happy with the muzzle vs. the thought of him someday getting the wrong thing. He's on a leash but he's so darn fast when he sees something. Think I spend more time looking in his mouth than walking him sometimes. Anyone with former goats? Is it a puppy thing they grow out of, or once a goat always a goat? BTW it spills over to in the house too. He has toys available to him, but if there is a fleck of something on the floor he will take that over any toy or treat. |
Time to teach drop it or leave it. If your treats are not interesting enough use boiled chicken |

My goat normally eats indoor trash like papertowels and receipts, but he absolutely loves the nut shells that the squirrels drop on the deck. I don't think he eats them, but he loves to chew on them. He did eat a wicker chair when he was a puppy... |
I have two goats and a people. The papi and Sabre are goats. They love paper products mostly. Tissues especially. Sabre also likes leaves and grass and sticks. The papi licks the ground. I'mlike Really Midget? Really? You're LICKING the GROUND. She looks at me with her blank eyes (the lights are on, but anyone home is hiding under the bed), and says but teh ground are YUMMY. She also used to raid the kitty litter box *GAGAGAGAG* Pixie looks at them and goes UGH! You two are nasty DOGS, and should be ashamed of yourselves. When I grow up and I'm a people I am not going to let you EAT such nasty nasty things *sniff* |
