We found jasmin on Craigslist. Been looking for awhile. Happened to be on Craigslist at 9:30 pm and saw the posting. I said no to the ad. Then decided to show it to DH. He texted the people right away. I was under the impression we were only going to look at her. We got to the people's house at close to 10:45 pm. When we first got there, she was shy and scared of us but warmed up quickly. I was still debating however DH already made up his mind and paid the people. We came home with Jasmin that night totally unprepared. Good thing she came with her cage and food. She is the love of our life. Could not have asked for a better baby. We have no kids, she is our one and only baby. |
Thank you for starting this thread, OP! I am loving reading everyone's stories :) |
Bevo came from what I know now to be a money hungry BYB. I found him on a cute little website that advertised teacups. I had no clue Yorkies shouldnt be called teacups....I drove about 16 hours round trip to pick him up and paid 2300 for the little stinker! 2 years later I bred him and the result was our Blue born, Mack Brown. It was then I found YT looking for help with Mack. Since, (4 1/2 years later) I have learned so much on this wonderful site. I now can educate others and that knowledge is priceless! Meanwhile...I do now have 2 wonderful yorkie boys and I would pay ANYTHING to ensure their health and well being! I also have a yorkie/shi tzu and a yorkie/maltese. |

I bought my little girl from a wonderful breeder here in Houston. I have had Gigi for a year now and I can't imagine life without her. Judy was so helpful answering all of my questions. :) |
That's a great story, Steph (mom to Jasper)! Enjoy your new little one, and may she bring you many years of joy! |
And your experience with Mack has helped so many others with confirmed or possible blue-borns. Mack has proved that a blue-born can be healthy and happy (and absolutely beautiful) when so many have said just the opposite. It was meant to be! :D
Thanks so much! I can't imagine life without him! |

Coco was given to me by my neighbor. She'd purchased her from a groomer but between her crazy work schedule and meeting a man, I did a lot of puppy sitting. When she came to pick Coco up after a 6 days vacation, Coco didn't want to leave and hid under the table. My neighbor was crushed but she did the right thing and let me keep her. She brought over all her thing later that night - I had to clean out a closet! :p She shared with me the other day that she'd gotten Coco when she was only one month old. Thankfully, for today, my baby is healthy, happy and loved to pieces. |
We got Maya from a breeder "Goldust Yorkies" in Holbrook, AZ. We found her on the YTCA site. She's a wonderful lady and takes great pride in breeding her yorkies. We drove 6 hours there spent the night and went to her home the next morning to get Maya. On the drive back we couldn't stop smiling we will never forget that road trip. |
