Petco -Yorkie Meet Up Good Sunday Morning everyone. I thought some of you might be interested in the information I found out yesterday. I was picking up Sophie Kate from her grooming at Petco and they Manager gave me a flyer for a Yorkie Meetup on May 18th and 19at at 1:00 pm, this is happening across the country at their locations. Included in the FREE Meet Up event is: - Meet other Yorkie Lovers - Learning grooming and nutritional needs unique to Yorkies - Free 12 oz bag of Royal Canin Yorkshire Terrier 28 Formula - Coupon for $3.00 off any bag of Royal Canin Terrier Formula Dog Food. I always see people who post on here that they wish they knew some local people who were Yorkie Fans, maybe this is a place to meet some. Note: yes, I use Petco grooming, have for years and have GREAT luck with my groomer Angela. I live in a very heavily populated area of Atlanta with a lot of Yorkies. Our Petco in Milton is the place to take your Yorkie for grooming (manager told me yesterday they do an average for 5 Yorkies per day and weekends its pretty much nothing but Yorkies, Shih Tzu and Paps). With that said this is not an endorsement for all Petco grooming. |

Thanks for this information! I just called the Petco closest to me and the Meetup is scheduled for the 18th and 19th. I was the first one to register though. If there isn't more interest it will be cancelled. So, if you plan to attend you probably want to call and register so it won't be cancelled for lack of interest. |
I just called my local PetCo and they are doing it. They have not really set anything up or even a time. I will for sure be checking back with them in the near future..... |
thanks for the info. I will have to check with the Petco here later today. I just had Gigi groomed on Wednesday and they never mentioned it, so we shall see.. |

I just checked with several Petco's in my area and they are all doing it at well, although they seem to be at a loss on how to market it. The event is sponsored by Royal Canine and sounds like more informational than dogs playing, but either way it sounds like a great way to meet other yorkie owners so I planning on going to it at least one day, maybe two. I put a shout out to our meetup group so we might have a group going, then LOL it WILL turn into pups playing:D Thanks so much for letting us know, I rarely go into Petco so I would not have known anything about it:thumbup::thumbup: |
I am not shocked, but my location does not seem to know anything about this event. I think I might try another location around here because I am not fond of the one by my house after the girl told me I was wasting my money on good food when my dog was just a mixed dog. |
Thanks!!! I just called the Petco near me and they are having this meetup as well. No signups necessary . I quess it's been posted for awhile and lots of people already have signed up. They told me it will last around an hour May 18th and 19th and you can attend both days. Chloe and I will be going both days. Sounds like fun to me meeting Yorkie People and Chloe meeting Yorkie's like her. |
My Petco in Montgomery didn't know anything about it. The guy was like, "well there is a socialization event but not necessarily for just Yorkies..." lol..I'll check one more town |

I just called the Petco located in Mesquite,Texas and they will be participating in this event. They don't have times yet however, they are not requiring anyone to register for the event. |
