need more pet friendly places I wish I could bring my baby with me more often in shopping malls and stores where I live. I don't see a problem if a small dog is in a stroller when I go shopping. I also had an issue with an online hotel booking that said when I got there oh no, we don't allow pets in our hotel. after making them go to their own website and see that they said they were, they finally agreed to let us stay. Had to also make them wave the fee they came up with because when I booked it I asked if there was one and was told no. then I asked about restaurants in the area and they told me oh you can't leave your dog in the room, only in a crate, and if he barks you have to come back. so we had to find a place, eat outside with him. thank goodness it was sort of warm and sunny and not raining outside. I think it's ridiculous. Always call your hotel directly and ask these questions before you arrive. The fees vary from hotel to hotel too. I think it should be a refundable deposit if anything.10 years ago we went with our daughter and 2 of her friends to Disney, and brought Deever. He was a wonderful traveler, but Disney was not what we thought it would be. Their kennels were horrible. Maybe they've changed since, but for the amount of millions they made off cartoon animals, you'd think they'd treat them like royalty. What are your thoughts on this. :animal-pa |
I so agree with everything you said! If more places and people could see how pets are lavished with love, maybe it would rub off on people and their wouldn't be such cruelty to animals! If you can show an animal empathy and love, there probably wouldn't be so much hate and violence towards each other. |
I'm surprised and confused where I live, about the law regarding where a dog is allowed to go. I can take mine in a taxi because they are small but they have to sit on my knee, if you don't use a carrier. I attempted to leave jasper outside a bakery torun in and grab something and the women looked at me like I was a monster, and told me to bring him in, in my arms. Yet in the chippy, I have to wait outside and order my food. The local food stores don't care because he is in my arms, but its sad cause there are some nice beer gardens, and when it's summer I wish I could sit outside them with jasper/Cora but they are really strict. Germany is a great place for dog laws. You can't leave them alone for more than a set amount of hours etc and they have dog swimming pools etc. |
Some areas around here are good and others are bad... we have a huge outdoor mall and they even have little dog parks thru-out the area for you to give your dog a chance to potty and the restaurants have outdoor eating and will even bring your dog a bowl of water. |
