I almost stomped his face off... So, after working all night, I decided to make nachos for breakfast. Just munching away while watching TV and I dropped a jalapeņo! !!! That quick little bugger almost got it! I stomped my foot on top of it & almost took Huey's nose off, but he didn't get the jalapeņo. Whew!!!:happyboun |
LOL! Maybe you should've let him get it and then he might not be so quick to go after things anymore - That would've been a nightmare at poo time though :D |
Oh my goodness! |
better safe than sorry good quick reaction. |
Lol.... Ouch... Yeah that may have hurt coming out! |

Honestly, besides the obvious, I wasn't sure if it was dangerous, so I'm glad I got it. That is a thought though...he is a terrible snatcher of anything that hits the floor...or anything left too close to the edge of the coffee table... |
Oh my! LOL I don't think I could've let mine eat a jalapeno either. Man, the results...I can't even picture it! |
Guinney ate half a fresh jalapeno just this past weekend.. brat gets excited when I come home from the farmers market looking for green beans and I guess he got his shapes mixed up :p |
Oh my! I know the feeling! I've had to do that with onion when I'm cooking in the kitchen and drop a piece. |

:lol tears ....I am so glad that he still has his nose intact! |
Wow, quick reaction! I'm glad he didn't get it. I bet he was mad though. lol |
Our bell is fast also ! Ninja fast ! Lol |
I dont know if dog tongues have the same heat sensors on them that ours do! I sprinkled Tabasco on the leg of a rattan chair I have, that seemed to be especially tasty for my babies....The hot sauce had absolutely NO effect on the dogs....they continued to chew on the rattan leg, so I dont know if they can taste "hot"! |
Awwww... I have dogs and cats who like jalapenos...as do I...and I don't seed them either. Sometimes my food gets too spicy or 'ill-flavored' for my kids' tastes, but I have seen them eat stuff I would never have offered if they hadn't been so insistent on trying a bite. Spicy peppers get such a 'bad rap' but truth be told, it isn't the chili pepper that gives the 'flaming exit'...seriously. Chili peppers are great at detoxing and it is the toxins that 'fire' that particular 'rocket' as my DH found. After he was detox'd by the jalapenos, he needed warmer pants. ;) Now, heat in the mouth is another issue entirely, and one DH has NOT conquered , but like Yorkiemom1 said: "I dont know if dog tongues have the same heat sensors on them that ours do! ...I dont know if they can taste "hot"!" ...at least not like we do. :D |

I'm glad he didn't get it :) Since Nena has always had problems with her stomach I don't like taking chances of her eating something that will bother her so the doggies are not allowed in the kitchen.. |
LOL...some of these threads just make me sit back and smile. I can't wait to see what Jasper has in store down the line. 😜 |
