Thank you for adopting her :) I have had a few puppy mill dogs that did this too. I think its just habit...they cant do anything else in their cage to get their energy/exercise out. Many zoo animals do the same...its very sad. Most of my mill dogs wont walk on a leash in the beginning either. The circling in my experience slowly gets better. Just keep working with her and she will continue to improve. I started doing puppy preschool with my fosters now when they are from a mill. I have found that has been the most helpful and in many ways their minds are like a brand new puppy because they havent seen or experienced anything outside their jail cell. |
With lots of love and care I hope she will get better. So sad to watch that video but I truly understand why she does it. Bless you for taking her and with your love I think she will be fine. |
Thank you all so much for your advice and comments. Jenny is my friends 2nd puppy farm rescue dog but her first one didn't display the same circling problem. I too adopted an ex breeding puppy farm girl 3 years ago, and although she has other problems, she doesn't circle, apart from just before toileting. I will pass on all your advice, and if the vet check goes ok, we will have to assume that it's a result of being confined for so long, and hope that Jenny will eventually grow out of it. Thank you all again..xx |
