My Eva is growing Platinum! 1 Attachment(s) My Eva's coat is definitely silky and as she approaches 6 months (next week), her puppy coat was looking a little fine, so I gave her a trim and a bath ... and that's when I saw it, my baby girl is going platinum! ;) Attachment 384694 |
I just realized I left off my question, leave it to me!:D Has anyone seen this color in a yorkie, and if so, what color did they mature to have? |

This is all very new for me and I appreciate all your advice and input. :) While Eva is turning Platinum, my Bella that is two weeks younger than Eva, appears to be turning a blue-ish color. Hazel broke through earlier then any other Yorkie I have ever had ~ @2 months! She is also the fairest one so far to date now that her adult colors are coming in. |
Omgosh they are absolutely adorable:D Georgie grows out a silver/platinum and when we cut him for summer his hair is back to black on his body and his head is tan and silver. Oh the beautiful colors of our babies:D |

This is so funny I was like hey she has a picture of Honey lol! Eva and Honey look so much a like to me the only thing is Eva has more Silver then Honey on her head. Other then that they look the same when it comes to their hair color. |
3 Attachment(s) My Yoshi started turning platinum around 6 months. Now he's 18 months & he still basically looks the same. Lol. Although I haven't actually "cut" his hair. I've only trimmed it. I actually noticed that he's turning really silver under the black in his body. I'm afraid to cut it because I like the black! Here are pics from 1- 7 months 2- 18 months 3 - 18 months |

1 Attachment(s) Princess Sophie is turning silver/platinum on her head as well. The tan parts don't seem to be changing but the black on her head is definitely turning silver. Is this going to be her adult hair color on her head?? |
2 Attachment(s) Uni is very light, and some people call her platinum. Basically, she's off standard. Her head is a very light gold, and her body is a very light silver blue at her shoulders fading to almost white at her butt. Attachment 384742 Here you can see her body coloring. Attachment 384745 ETA she started breaking at about 12 weeks. That was when I got her. She is also silky haired. |

Charlie will be 3 in October and I have been noticing this week how his hair is still changing...? Maybe he's a late bloomer...? Or aging rapidly!? HaHa He is turning more grey/silver - he is going to be very distinguished looking! :-) |
Sam's sister Piper has the same coloring at 5 months. Her hair is finer, shorter, and silky. Her back is silver at the roots. Sam on the other hand is still black and dishwater blond in color, and a total woolly butt. |

Thanks! :p I wuvs my little woolly booger, no matter if he turns purple. It's funny though, because he had much more traditional coloring his first few weeks. Piper already had some lighter color on her face at just 3 weeks, so we thought she would take her dam's coloring, and Sam would take after their sire. Now it looks like it will be just the opposite. Daddy is a gorgeous blue and gold, and mama is a darker blue/black with light gold. |
