Trinket is sooooooo spoiled. She whimpers and we come running. If you come into our house, you better hold Trinket and give her some attention. I think we just think of more ways to spoil her. When we go to the pet store, she rides in her stroller and everyone has to pet her or talk to her lol. She will not take no for an answer. |

I don't think it's possible to spoil a dog too much. There nothing but love. But I do think they will play you like a flute if they sense it's working. Charlie knows by my tone what I am saying now. I don't think you should feel bad. Tell her to stop being a cry baby in a friendly voice. She'll understand before you know it. :) |
Learning manners and boundaries is important but are you giving her the exercise she needs? It doesn't seem like she would get to run off much energy at work. When you get home you put her in her kennel? Do you take her out for walks a few times a day? Yorkies have energy levels that need to be worked off. You really can't expect a young terrier to sit around and be content if it has not been given the ability to run off the energy level at least a couple of times a day plus lots of training sessions. These little dogs want to do a job. They have active minds and boundless energy that can make them kind of annoying if we don't deal with their inborn nature. My first year with Gracie was a trying time. I found out quickly that terriers are not the kind of dog that will sit around and be quiet. They have active minds and tons of energy. I had to become an active and involved terrier owner with her. She is not like any other dog I have ever had. I was forced to get more involved with her than my other dogs. It is not spoiling them it is dealing with the terrier nature they have born into them. |
