Tick Removal Method I just had someone post on my FB page on how to remove a tick. Put a glob of liquid soap on a cotton ball and swab the area for 15 - 20 seconds and the tick will come out on it's own and will be stuck to the cottom ball. Also if the tick has a white speck on its back it is a deer tick. I know this works on people, not sure about dogs but I don't see why it wouldn't. It's easier than trying to get out with a tweezer and risk not getting the entire tick off. |
i have read this before.....it should be a sticky if it isnt already and thanks for the reminder as that season is upon us!!! |
I just had to remove a tick off of our maltese. I used rubbing alcohol swab which did help the tick back out a little. I ended up having to tweeze the thing. Such a nightmare. Next time I will try this instead! Thanks for posting. :) |
Great tip!!! We all need to know this! |
We have had a tick problem for the past 4 years. My vet sold me this thing and it works very well: |
I have read when you make a tick back out like that they inject more of there saliva. This is the best thing I have ever used does not pull any hair out and NEVER leaves any part of the tick in |
