My deepest sympathy to you and your new baby could not have come at a better time. Hugs, Maria and Cooper |
On the first night of Rosie my new pup gave to me... A headache!!! :p When Luma came home she slept all night in the crate. Guess it doesn't run in their genes bc Rosie has been whining aaaaaall night keeping me and Luma awake while bf snores away  I let her out twice to potty and she did go 1 & 2. I've been up since 5 with her...I felt so bad so I brought her to bed but stayed awake so she couldn't fall off. I know she will eventually sleep with us like Luma does but she's only two pounds!!! Doesnt know how to use the stairs yet. We have to work on that asap! She's so little. I forgot how small they are as puppies. |
Also, she keeps trying to nurse off of Luma. I didn't realize it at first because I thought they were plaaying but she tries to go under Luma and nurse. Haha. She is eating kibble just fine so I'm not worries about her not being fully weaned. Luma does look a lot like their mommy :p they are full sisters and I totally think they can tell. Luma's just like uhh.. bar's closed, kid! |
hahaha that is so funny!! im sure shell be better in a couple of nights its all new for her!! luma is being a very good girl it sounds like!! hope you get some rest.. |
ahh first night is sometimes hard, but it sounds like Luma is letting her get near her so that's a good sign. I am assuming the crate was in your room. When you bring her in bed you could try putting her in a small ring type bed, this way she might feel snug and stay put and you will not be afraid of rolling on her. Lola sleeps on our bed but in her own small bed and she really likes that. My sister's dog is older and sleeps on the bed but moves around a lot, one night she got in bed with Lola and I and her moving drove me crazy, the next night I put her in another little bed on my bed and she slept through the whole night without moving. Just an idea to try if you are having trouble getting her settled down. As I am sure you know you will need to have so much extra patience in the coming month, but I know you will be great mommy to Rosie just like you are to Luma |
sorry for your Loss of your grandmother/ congrats on your new baby |
Congrats!!!! I was so busy last night at work that I am just getting to check in and see how its going. It sounds like Luma hasn't missed a beat. I know Rosie and Luma will help heal your heart. So exciting that she is home! Congrats, again! :D |
Hehe! I totally cracked up at the "bar's closed, kid" comment. :D I think it is awesome that they are full sisters. I bet that is going to help them create a true bond. Maybe you could put the crate in the bed? Or another version of the crate...like up between yours and Tony's pillows so she's in the middle..? Just thinking out loud here. |
That is so cute. I hope they will be best buddies. Can't wait to see pics of her dressed up. |
Aw! She's so cute! Sounds like you're having fun already! So sorry for the loss of your dear Grandmother... My Deepest Sympathies and prayers for you and your family. |
