first visit to the website Hi everyone, I am Chris Murphy and I have just joined. My Yorkie is a tea cup named Dexter. He will be 3 next month. My wife and I having grown children now have a new child in Dexter. We love him dearly and he is the center of our attention and spoiled. Glad to be on the site. thanks, Chris Muprhy |
Welcome to YT Chris and Dexter! My DH and I have done the same thing. We told our DD's (two) that when they moved out we were replacing them with puppies that we didn't have to send to college. LOL It's great that you decided to join us. I'm assuming that Dexter is 3 years old? Several of us are still counting weeks or months so I just thought I would clarify. You will love it here. Whatever information you already had, you will find more here. Have fun, cruise around the site and don't forget to check out the "Libraries" toward the top of the main pages as there is tons of info there. Also, please post picts! We all love to see what everyone's furbaby's look like! Have fun and again Welcome!! |
welcome to yorkie talk..:) |
Welcome to YT, Chris! Would love to see pics of Dexter. :) You'll hear this a lot so I may as well go ahead and let you know that the term "teacup" is just a term that some ruthless breeders made up one time to sell under weight dogs for a lot of money. I understand that you are using the term to just describe Dexter's size. Before I came to the forum, I thought it was a real catagory of dogs but then I learned that it's not. Yorkies are all in the toy group but there really isn't a such thing as a teacup catagory of any breed - I swear, I learned a lot my first day here and I still learn everyday. There are so many great and knowlegeable people here. I am so very happy you found us! Jump right in, but I warn you - it is addicting ;) :D |
Hi and welcome to YT. Dexter sounds like he has a wonderful life! My Buster will turn 4 this July. I can't believe he has been with me for over three years. I barely remember what life was like without a Yorkie, definitely quieter and a lot less love and happiness. I look forward to seeing pictures of Dexter. |
Welcome to YT!! We love pictures hope to see some of your little guy soon. :D |

Welcome to YT Chris! Be sure to ask for help from anyone if you need help with anything (navigating the site, etc). You've definetly found a fun forum :D |
I think that Yorkies that are new additions to a family where kids have left the nest are very lucky little dogs. They get all your attention and usually have a warm lap to cuddle up in. Welcome to YT. I hope you and your new little one have many happy years together. |
It is lovely to meet you and Dexter. Can't wait to see his pictures. |
Chris, welcome to the Forum :welcome4: BUT BE WARNED ! If you visit/post on this Site very much, you WILL get Yorkieitus ! That's a condition that may cause you to want multiple Yorkies ! Fair warned and welcome again :D S.W. Houston |
Welcome! I have family roots in Bremerton! Can't wait to see pictures of Dexter :) |
