Hi there :-) My name is Beth. My little girls name is Bella. We would like to introduce ourselves to all the YT members :). My little Bella is a youngster, only 5 weeks. If you read my blog you'll find out how we came to get her so young.. I'm still learning how to use the site. I've uploaded pics to my profile but I'm having a hard time figuring out how to put them in a post like this. It tells me my pictures exceed the limit :-( But anyways.. I'm happy that I found this site! I love reading about people's experiences. My little bell is biting a lot right now because her baby teeth are coming in. I just started trying to train her to stop or redirect her to a chewing toy. She's so adorable & just to young to comprehend that she can't bite people. She has our other dog who's a boxer that she plays with all day.. My boyfriend tells me that she's going to think she is a boxer one day lol.. She prolly will, she's not afraid of anything yet. I welcome everyone's comments and advice! All the help I can get is much appreciated, Ty :) :) :aimeeyork :animal36 :animal-pa :D |
Hey Beth- To download pictures on threads the pics can only be 200kb big. I hope you enjoy yourself and learn lots in this site. Don't hesitate to ask questions as even owners who have had their dogs awhile ask questions. Also if you haven't yet, check out the library section of YT. Hi and welcome. Here is some reading you probably need if you haven't had a tiny Yorkie before: Puppy Care and Puppy Info Library - YorkieTalk.com Forums - Yorkshire Terrier Community - there is so much on here about development and how to help your dog get through it, among many other things you'll need to know about Yorkie puppies. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/pup...w-parents.html Be sure you know all of the signs of hypoglycemia and how to treat it immediately in a dog this young. It can save a puppy's life. Some really tiny puppies are subject to hypoglycemia for up several months of age. Dog Hypoglycemia (Low Blood Sugar): Symptoms, Treatment, and Prevention I hope your enjoy YorkieTalk and your puppy! |
Welcome to YT! Wanted to say welcome! Also, I just joined and finally figured out how to upload the pics to the thread. If you go to Free Online Picture Resizer - Crop and Resize photos, images, or pictures online for FREE! all you have to do is resize the image and it should be small enough to post. Hope this helps! |
Thank you guys! I've been trying to figure out how everyone's posting pics lol. And yes I know all about low blood sugar..I'm fortunate because she's actually a lil piggy :-) I thought I would have a problem so I bought nutri cal, but she's got a nice healthy appetite so far :-) |

Hi! I looked at your album and Bella is a little doll. |
Hi and welcome to Yt! I'm glad you found us as there is so much wonderful information here! Good luck with your new baby. 5 weeks is of course way too young to be away from momma so you have a lot of reading to do! Ideally 12 weeks is recommended. I read your blog and I would have ran as fast from that greeder as I could have.... What a terrible person! Anyways! Again, welcome! |
The links and info that yorkietalkjilly gave you will help you so so much.I agree, even though she is eating well right now, it is great that you have nutrical on hand. If she doesn't eat every 2 hours or so, bam! blood sugar can drop. You have obviously been doing your homework. What a great mom! :)Tell DH that she will be telling your boxer what-for soon. I have a 70 lb sheltie mix that is pretty much controlled by my 5 lb yorkie lol |
