Yes when you hear them they sound like a woman screaming in pain. It is unmistakable. We call them panthers here in the west they call them mountain lions. |
How scary! Luckily we live in a more urban populated area... I know they've been found in cities, but hopefully our 6' fence and all the traffic deters them. |

Fake grass??? Have you tried the grass pads? I havn't tried them but maybe your baby would like them. I am trying to teach my pup to stay away from the doors but I know there will be a day when she finally slips out. My Chicuahua is trained to come directly to me when my husband thinks he's doing her a favor by letting her go outside ( he thinks I over react). I freak because I did save a dove from getting eating by my Lab and when I went to let it go a hawk swooped down right in front of me and grabbed it. Needles to say I was devestated !!!We've seen a few coyotes but hear them all the time. I am more scared of a hawk when it comes to my baby but Coyotes are not shy when it comes to food. I'd rather clean up a mess on the floor than.... |

That is scary. I dont have coyotes but raccoons come in the yard and I worry about My cats getting to them. My yorkies dont go out at night when I see them |
Scary!!! I haven't heard any around my part of the world but I worry about those darn hawks and owls. I wonder if I should get that red flashing light thingy - it says owls and hawks, too. Hmmm... |

Yeah, $28 something but it reels you in and then lets you know you need 4 of them. So, what - $130? Still not really bad but I was excited about $28 so it was a little bit of a let down lol |

This one covers 5000 square feet. |
They have a few different ones and that same one is cheaper on amazon. |
Did you watch the video for Night Guard Solar on the Amazon listing? That was cool. At the end, it gave something they have for daytime protection from hawks and aggressive coyotes. Holographic tape strips that can be hung around the area. Love that! |

We also have coyotes in the area but have not had any attacks on domestic or farm animals as yet. Of course most of us know not to leave our pets out alone and the farmers have secure pens for their stock. I won't take Gracie out after the sun sets. We also have huge owls that live here. Now with a bear visiting us at night there is just no way I am taking a chance of running into him at night. |
