Yesterday we got the call that Colby was ready to be picked up. Greenbriar went above and beyond our expectations. His box is beautiful. They send with it a lock of his hair, a necklace, a card and certificate, wildflower seeds to plant in his memory, a bookmark, and his remains are in a gold corded velvet bag with the words until we meet again at rainbow bridge. I had another break down yesterday, but I am glad at least a part of him is home again. Thank you for everyone that has been so supportive. We are going to plant the wildflower seeds and have a special stepping stone made for him leading to the flowers.

awww now that made me just tear up!! how beautiful to remember your baby and still have him with you. prayers for healing and when spring comes we cannot wait to see the growing wildflowers...i am so sure colby will make sure they are the most beautiful flowers ever for you.

We are moving to Alabama this summer, so we are going to plant them once we get settled. We want to plant them where we will always be. I will definitely take pictures of them once they are planted and bloom.

I totally cried reading your post and looking at the pics. I think the seeds are a wonderful idea!

We are moving to Mcculough. My mother in law is having some health problems and we are moving there to help out. I have no idea how far that is from Montgomery. I would love a meet up though.

I am sorry for your loss. They really do take a piece of our heart with them. I have been offered another little boy once I am ready, but I am not sure if I am going to get another one. I would feel like I am replacing him and he had a one in a million personality. I was going to train him to be a therapy dog because my mom has bad anxiety and depression and when she would hold him she would feel calm and less depressed. He was very calm and also very loving. He also had a great temperament. He never got mad over anything. Loved to be dressed up. I could brush him with out a problem, put his hair up, and just about anything and he would just sit there. Sorry to go on and on. I just could list a million things I loved about him and I miss him so much. I just hope with time this gets easier. I do not ever want to forget him, I just want it to get easier.
