Chicken Soup for the Pet Lover's Soul?
 
Hi All,

I'm writing to get advise from those that feed Chicken Soup for the Pet Lover's Soul to their yorkies. I was feeding Stomper California Natural and he would eat it, but not fast like he used to. To be honest, it is "very" natural (only 5 main ingredients) and I don't think he liked it even though it is a very good food.

For those that feed their dogs Chicken Soup...what do you think of it? Why did you select it?

I've given Stomper a little for breakfast this morning and as a "training treat" last night and he loves it!

We just picked it up today. I hope my dogs likes it because one of my dogs has bad allergies and the Royal Canin was really aggravating the allergies. I am really impressed with the ingredients.

My little girl Chloe is the pickiest eater you will ever meet and she would not eat anything. Someone on here told me to try this Chicken Soup stuff and guess what she loves it. So I am very pleased with it.

I have it for the puppies. I mix it with the Puppy Pro Plan. I will be shocked if your Yorkies don't like it. I mix mine because my cousin had a Yorkie whose diet was too "rich" and the dog started losing its hair, couldn't control her bladder and other things...she seemed to be aging waaaay before her time. The vet told her to switch food and her Yorkie has a full coat now and has full control of her bladder. My dogs LOVE the Chicken Soup and that is what I use in place of treats.

I mix dry food and it is one that I feed. I'm pleased with it.

Here are the ingredients and info:

Ingredients:
Chicken, turkey, chicken meal, turkey meal, whole grain brown rice, whole grain white rice, oatmeal, potatoes, cracked pearled barley, millet, chicken fat (preserved with mixed tocopherols), duck, salmon, egg product, flaxseed, natural chicken flavor, kelp, potassium chloride, salt, choline chloride, chicory root extract, carrots, peas, apples, dried skim milk, cranberry powder, rosemary extract, parsley flake. Vitamins and minerals.

Guaranteed Analysis:
Crude Protein 24
Crude Fat 14
Moisture 10
Crude Fiber 3
Omega-6 Fatty Acids (min) 2.2
Omega-3 Fatty Acids (min) 0.4
Sodium 0.3

I read many threads on this forum and a lot of them highly recommended the Chicken Soup so I decided to try it when I brought home my Yorkie. That is after I blended it with the food he was originally eating and made the full transition. I also have an Aussie who is a VERY picky eater and have had a hard time finding a food that he likes. Well, he decided to try the baby's food and absolutely loved it. So, now they both are on the same diet. My Aussie is about a year older than my baby but I still feed them the same.

Dollar eats it and he likes it...he didnt eat dry food before...but he eats this stuff and that is all I care about.

I have a follow up question...did they get soft poop from this food? I'm concerned about that!

Stewie loves it. He scarfs it down.

I chose it because of it's ingredients.

Bubba was eating Eukanuba originally but as I began to read about their animal testing policies I felt I needed to change. One of the things I looked at was ingredients. The first ingredients are important and I was looking for something that didn't list meal and corn first. Bubba just loves it and wipes his plate clean every day. I mix it with wet food but am going to try to drop back on the wet stuff. He is 11 months old now. Personally I don't see the poop much in the winter but in the summer I seem to notice it more especially when it's on my shoes and I track it to the rug

Penny loved it and had normal stools while on it. We had to switch to prescription food because of her colitis, but if it weren't for that we would still be feeding Chx Soup.

I think Im going to try this for Daisy...she has been realyl itchy lately....and not sure what it is...but its worth a try. She's a really finicky eater..

there is one place about 30 mins away taht carries it..and i'll be near there friday..so im gonna pick some up!

ceeby stopped eating on me almost as soon as I brought him home. I fixed everything people on here told me to. i bought every kind everyone said to buy and he would have none of it. Finally someone suggested Chicken Soup for the puppy lover. he loved it for two or three days then stopped. Then someone told me to get Ceaser's. I couldn't find the puppy kinbd so I got the adu;t and he loves it. he eats a can a day now and has also starting eating his Chixken Soup again as if he loves it equally well. I free feed the Chicken Soup. I went to the site and read all about the ingredients and etc and liked what I read. I drove two hours to buy it and even then, they had to order it from another store so I had to go back and get it. Well, that's my story and I'm sticking to it!!!!!!!!

WHERE TO BUY Chicken Soup dog food
 
I am new to this site.

I have a 11 week old Yorkie and also a 10-1/2 year old Yorkie.

I live in Brandon FL and can't find where to buy Chicken Soup dog food.

Can anyone tell me how to find out where to buy it?

I've looked on the internet but can't find anywhere to search for a store nearby.

I would appreciate any information.
