Hello to all Hi. I am happy to have found this website, so am posting my first "hello". We have a new yorkie puppy who is 6 months old. She has been in our family since october 2012, and we have all fallen completely, utterly, in love with her. Her name is Pippy Lou, named by my 6 yr old granddaughter (whom I will mention begged for a puppy every holiday and birthday from age 2, and has had the name picked out since then). I am Pippys great-grandma you could say! Pippy is a tiny little dog (3 lbs now), but healthy and full of energy. We are learning every day how bright and sweet she is! I am very grateful for this informative site, and hope to stay involved in it. |
Welcome welcome!!! Congrats on your new puppy...it does not take long to fall in love with them does it???? Please post pics when you get a chance!! |

Welcome to you and Pippy Lou, I am also new on YT. |
"Hi. I am new to this site, and a first time Yorkie owner. Our puppy, Pippy, will be spayed tomorrow, and I am also very nervous. She is very small (3 lbs) and it worries me." I hope you don't mind me quoting from the other forum... Please let us know how Pippy does with her spay tomorrow and any questions you may have we are here to help answer. Prayers that all goes well. |
Hello and welcome to YT, glad you found us! |
So glad you joined and that you appreciate and love a Yorkie. Aren't they just the cutest and sweetest things ever?!? Yorkies are so often fragile and small and often need above the ordinary care. Most little girls are very, very careful and tender with how they handle small animals unlike many small boys, but when you can, educate your granddaughter on how to teach her little friends to be exceptionally careful with her tiny best buddy. I love the name Pippy Lou and imagine it just fits a cute little Yorkie girl. I would love to see some pictures of that little furry sweetie and your little granddaughter as well. If you stay around and click away on different threads, you will no doubt learn a lot about Yorkies as this site has a wealth of knowledge all about the tiny terrier known as a Yorkie. It is an exceptional breed in so many ways. I truly think God must have been smiling the day He made Yorkies. Welcome to YorkieTalk! :) |
Hi. Oh yes, she is adorable! We have spent a fair amount of time helping our granddaughter understand the importance of careful handling of pippy, as well as letting her in on all vet visits so he can help too. She is learning very well. But I like your reminder to help her friends learn to be careful. |
