I've Lost one of my Bed buddies Since last week Bogie is sleeping alone in the living room:( His choice not mine. I have always carried him to bed and Jada has always followed us to bed. My DH said Bogie acts like he would rather sleep alone so I left him in there by himself (thinking haha he will be in here in just a few minutes) well he fooled me and stayed all night on the couch, and every night since then. Do you think he really likes sleeping alone better or does he think I don't love him anymore, since I quit carrying him to bed? |
Why did you quit carrying him to bed? |

The last couple of months he is restless sleeping and is all over the place, where he used to sleep snug up against me and never move. |
well maybe he does like sleeping alone. if i left cedric on the coach he would cry like a baby till i came and got him. so imma gonna guess that brody likes his space. |
I suppose we all need some alone time. He is fine. Alfie has always slept in the living room and he jumps into his bed when my husband and me leave for work together, but if one of us leaves he howls after the other one. |
:( Have you tried sleeping with him on the couch at night see if he snuggles up to you to sleep? |

Some kids grow up and want their own room. Really Some Yorkies do too. All of my dogs are crate trained. But we do not close the door on them, except for travel or feeding. Julia sleeps in her crate so does Abba, Rubin moves from the sofa to his crate and back again during the night. Gracie sleeps in the bed with me and the past few nights Ginny Joy has gotten in bed with me too. Normally Ginny Joy sleeps in her crate all night. I move around a lot and most of the Yorkies prefer a more peaceful nights sleep. My Bed is very high and only Ginny Joy can get on it with out being lifted up. Rubin is not allowed in my bedroom. Little beast that he is, he pees on the quilt that hangs over the side of the bed (he is 10 and has always done that !) |
Aw...he still loves his momma the mostest, he's a big boy now:D. Or he doesn't like he's sleep interrupted by the the DH pee breaks;) |
I think he just enjoys the space. Ahi "sleeps" with me. Well on her own bed next to me.(leveled with my bed) I tried to get her in bed with me and she huffs, gets up, and moves on over to her side. I think I move around too much also. Roxie on the other hand likes to sleep on, between, behind my legs. :) |
Oh, my, if he's a Yorkie, he's more than likely right where he wants to be. They can be EXTERMELY persistent to go where they want to go and do what they want to do, especially at night. I think if he wanted to be in bed with ya'll, he'd be right there insisting on his rights. I wouldn't worry about it and just let him be and see how long he likes sleeping alone. |
