Back scratching I will brush my Emily out to make sure she looks nice, as well for her comfort.. but every now & then I will give her an ear rub or a back scratch with my hand. I love when I find the "spot"... & her nose goes in the air & her back leg starts moving !! lol It takes everything in me not to laugh at her :D Most of the time she does not care for the brush.. unless I catch her in a mood to be brush, & sometimes she will nose bump the brush for more.. or look at me then at the brush.. hint hint. Anyone else have a baby that always needs a little bit more ?? |
Jessies spot is under the left side of her chin but today I have found spot #2, when I rub the inside of her ears! Thats back leg goes a million miles an hour... |
Lol, I love it too when you hit the sweet spot. With Wylie, he not only does the leg thing - but if you run your fingernails down the middle of his back, you get to a spot where his whole back goes into a big shiver...it's really cute :). |
My guys also do the shiver, as well as arching and pushing toward your hand/fingers, and the back leg hop, AND, lots of tongue thrusting when you are in just the right place. ;) Then, if you're not in just the right place they want it in, they'll move and thrust the right place up against your hand. |
We always called it the thumper spot. Just like Thumper in Bambi! LOL I haven't found Princess Sophie's yet. LOL |
Besides just normal finger work, I have a spare Comb I use to scratch them with. Grooming thereafter is not so time consuming. |
At bedtime I love to give mine a massage and boy howdy do they ever love it. They stretch out as far as they can so I don't miss a spot. Lol |
I forgot to mention something which others may consider... We all know how sensitive our guys throats are, and my guys just LOVE to have them scratched. Having started using a Comb (to do both) scratching and light grooming, I've found that it is a very good way to do their throats. I have rather large hands, and had to be SO careful before I found this "new" tool. |
