looking for a female yorkie in california I've looking thru most threads here regarding getting a new puppy...and tried to contact reputable breeders here, but it's too expensive for me... I've had dog experience before...when I was young we had four dogs, and they all grew old and died...my husband also had one dog when he was just a teenager and also grew old and died...now we missed the time we had a dog in our life and we really want yorkie this time...I'm not working and my husband also comes home early...we will be the perfect parents to take care of a new baby yorkie...please contact me if you are a breeder with affordable price...thanks for reading my thread...oh..btw, I live in irvine, ca... |
Hi have you considered getting a rescue? They really need loving homes and the love you will get back will be so rewarding plus the cost of getting one is reasonable. That way you can have a nest egg for vet expenses. I hope you find a wonderful Yorkie. Be wary of getting a "CHEAP" Yorkie as they may have health issues. Buster was from a less reputable breeder and he had lots of health issues his first year and it was very expensive. Good Luck and I hope you find your special Yorkie! |
A yorkie from a good breeder normally costs between $1,000 and $2,000 it can be expensive but its hopefully a 13+ year commitment and buying from a not good breeder could end up costing you more in the end because you could end up with a sick pup or a dog that has genetic issues. If you want a pup for sure check out the YTCA.org but if you think you might want to rescue check out shelters or breed specific rescues. |
I would also recommend a rescue. Fees run about $300-400. There is Yorkshire Terrier National Rescue in SoCal. |
