My Lola's Color My Lola is a 3 month old Yorkie....and she is my first pet! I am concerned by her color, I don't have much experience when it comes to such a topic but I've seen other puppies around her age who's color appears richer! Is this something I should be concerned with? Or will this change as she matures? |
Mainly depends on her parents, as long as its Black and Tan some pups are lighter in the shade |
I'm not sure I understand the question. Do you have a picture of what you are concerned with? Yorkies' colors and coats change for a while..up to 18 months to 2 years from what I've read. At 3 months, your girl will go thru a lot of changes still...coloring and texture (as she loses her puppy hair). |
Oh, ok......thank you! |
MandiesMom....I tried to attach a photo, but the file size was too big. I guess I'm just a new time pet mom and maybe over analyzing everything. To me, her tan is very pale....wasn't sure if that is a normal trait for a puppy. |
Yep...expect color changes they mature...there is a really nice thread on here that explains it. If you search for it you will find it....I've had two yorkie pups and both went thru different color changes |
My Skylar is 4 months had her since 8 weeks and she has just started losing her puppy hair on her legs and ears it used to be long and beige on her legs but now its short and golden tan on her chest too. Its really cute to see her changing. :aimeeyork |
Thank you Rubynrosie and skylarsMommy.........I've been driving myself crazy! |
I wouldn't worry too much about her coloring... She's adorable! It's fun to watch them change as they age... You just never know what they will look like as an adult :) |
Thanks CouversMom........I appreciate it! |
