Chat-Raffle-Need help! Is anyone else having a problem getting into Chat? I want to be ready for the raffle. :D It is telling me that Java is a security risk and Firefox has blocked it. I went into Internet Explorer and it says the signature has expired. It will allow me to run it, but Firefox makes it sound like a huge security risk and that I would have to accept the risks. Any suggestions? |
I tried to get into Chat also buy can't. Good post, I'll be watching this one, want to be ready for the raffle too :D |
Java has a security problem and many people are saying to disable it. Even though YT is a trusted site, apparently hackers can do things through Java. Read this for more information: Q&A: Is Java safe to use? It doesn't sound like your normal security programs will protect you. I won't be joining live chat, I just hate it when my computer breaks. |
There's another way around it.... I'll have to get my iPad and pot the web address... I'm in there everyday |
Is there a reason that you are connecting being able to get into chat with the Raffle? Did I miss something? |
They announce the winners in chat... They will also list it here afterwards. |
Oh..where does it say that? In the raffle thread somewhere? I never saw where they announced..just that they draw/announce within 5 days of March 8th. Anyhow..so I don't have to be in chat to win, right? Just in case... |

No, you don't have to be present to win. It's just a heck of a lot of fun to be there. It moves fast and is very exciting! |

Even though Oracle/Java says they have fixed the problem and to download the security patch(?up to 50 or so "fixes"?), geeks are saying it is still quite vulnerable. Norton Internet Security, which is my protective software, claims they are managing the exploits that continue and it is safe with NIS but I'm too fearful. Until I start hearing all the geeky types are using Java again, I'm not taking the chance. |
If you have iPhone or iPad you can get to chat that way |
