Oh my goodness! 1 Attachment(s) Thank you to everyone who suggested boiled chicken to use for doggy treats! I went & bought a couple good size boneless chicken breast. I put them on to boil & Baxter was in the kitchen going bananas just smelling them cook. So I bought small size freezer bags & cut up tiny chunks in about 10 bags & froze them. That way I can just take one out as needed! He absolutely loves them. I have already taught him to sit & stay using the chicken. Of course I'm not giving him too much, but I bet he'd the whole bag if he could! He has been a very finicky eater! So thanks for the suggestions! I forgot to grab a box of Cheerios, I plan to try them too! Here's a pic of him sleeping soundly after his training session, pleased with his chicken! |
Glad it worked...next time you might want to buy some on the bone, boil and keep the broth. I cool it and put in ice cube trays.. I pour it over my girls kibble and she gobbles it all......they really are scent driven.. |

Give me Chicken ! Most dogs just love chicken. I am so glad it worked. The picture is so cute, bless his little heart. |
Tibbe will do anything to get chicken or any treat! But eventually I substituted some kibble every so often that I specially prepare and now he works just as hard for that, as the chicken is a tad hard on his tummy at times. |

I did mean heating up, but occasionally I hold one like a popsicle for Jess to lick...then by the time she wants to bite it its pretty mushy and I just smash it and let her go to town! |
When you say kibble, do you mean dry food? Sorry if that questions sounds stupid  I just always assumed that was what it was and now I'm wondering? |
