****How To Read A Dog's Tail!!!**** Here's a short but simple article. Doesn't take but a minute or two to read. The Dog Trainer : What Do Dogs Say with Their Tails? :: Quick and Dirty Tips ™ |
I love it...seems both of mine normally have happy tails :p |
Great article. I can't convince people that a wagging tail is not always a happy tail. Depends on the kind of wag and the stiffness. Teddy is very expressive with his tail and I know the difference between happy and the attack wag. He has even influenced Max to swish his tail when he wants to kill the UPS truck or school bus. :p |
I've seen that slow wagging tail more than a few times on a dog that was seriously thinking about munching on me on some new rescues. It's a pretty sure sign to BEWARE, human, I don't trust any of you. |
Nice article, short and to the point. I know the slow wag also. It's so much harder to tell on yorkies though, seeing as how so many have the docked tail. At least Uni's is docked at the correct length, but I've had many fosters' tails that were no more than a nub. :( |

Yeah w Rotties I think it's easier to tell even with a docked tail, bc yorkies most of the time have lots of fluffy hair. On my fosters that had nubs, I actually trimmed their booty hair shorter and let the hair on the nub grow more, so the hair was more of a flag. Helped a lot more with the body language. :) |
