Dental Cleaning Just took Bella in for her cleaning. I just hope all will be good and that's all that is done. I looked at her teeth this week, which I try to keep an eye on them. One upper front tooth looked chipped. So I took her in the bathroom so I could take a better look. I am now not sure what I seen. But her upper teeth looked like they had alot of space in between them. I hadn't noticed that before. They weighed her, and she weighed 8.2 and a week ago it was 7.5. I am so frustrated with my husband right now. He's always giving her treats. They are hers but still to much. |
Sending well wishes for Bella that she receives a good report from the doggy dentist. Tell your husband to resist the urge to give treats, or find a low calorie treat he can give. |

I'm thinking about putting all her treats up. I only give her one after she pottys. Or when I give her a bath and get her combed out. I feel they need to be rewared when they do good like that. I might try green beans with her. |
How did she do? For teeth and treats going forward, maybe try CET Chews - I get mine at Amazon; they're great dental chews. |
Checking in for an update..I was where you were last week with my Jada..she lost 6 teeth :( Prayers everything went well and Bella got to keep all of her teeth. |
Hope all went well :) |
Well I had posted a seperate update. It was a sad day. 10 teeth total. All the front top and bottom combined. Now I'm wondering how well do their little molars hold up. This is to sad. |
I am so sorry and I know how you feel. Jada lost 3 last years dental and 6 this year :( this years losses included one big molar and two pre-molars :( My vet said it was nothing I was doing wrong and that Jada just has a tiny mouth and bad teeth. I will say that after her gums healed it has not affected her appetite or the way she eats. I did run her kibble through the food processor and add warm water for the first 4 days. |
