Floss??? Am I the only one that floss my baby teeth?:aimeeyork |
LOL...sorry I couldn't help myself. How old is your puppy? I'm just curious because Princess Sophie is 10 weeks old and I haven't even gotten the toothbrush in her mouth yet. |
Lol she is 10 months. She hates it and she hates fro me to brush her teeth even more but I do it. I think she is getting use to it..well I hope she is. |
Ummm....probably not. But I can barely brush their teeth let alone floss them. lol :D Now brushing their hair is another story...they stand in line for that. :D |
I do brush my girls teeth every night, but have never tried to floss. I've thought about it, but am afraid I would cut their gum by putting enough pressure on the floss to get it between the teeth. The Vet. has never mentioned flossing their teeth. Did your Vet. suggest doing that? |

You just might be the only one, I've never heard any one else mention it, ever. |

Don't feel crazy, you just might be the one that's doing it right. Winston is in need of a dental cleaning right now, maybe if I had just flossed...he wouldn't need it. |
I have never took Honey to get a dental cleaning... Maybe I should take her. We will see what they say when I get her spayed. |
Interesting thread. I didn't brush our oldest girls teeth till she was several years old, wasn't educated that they needed brushed. Prissy is almost 11 years old now and has lost three teeth because I didn't take care of her teeth earlier on. Since then with the other two girls, and Prissy too, I pay very close attention to their teeth. I always brush their teeth and use plaque gel, but will research flossing their teeth and speak to our vet too. I am always interested in anything that will keep or improve the well being of my girls. |
I would think that flossing would be as good for the dogs teeth as it is for humans. Kudos on getting her to sit still long enough for flossing! You may actually give the best dental care of anyone here!:thumbup::D |
My wife brushes Sparkles teeth, but has never flossed her teeth. I have never seen anyone able to floss their teeth. My hats off to you! |
I think that is great, but I do believe that my Muggles would only want to chew on the floss stick :D |
I floss my pup's teeth. I use these things called "Plackers". They're plastic sticks with floss on the end. I only use them on my girl though - and on a few of the bottom teeth, not all of them. She chews the rug under the dining room table & sometimes the rug fabric gets caught between a baby tooth & a big girl tooth. If I don't use floss, it ends up getting stuck & stinky. So I guess that two of us are crazy ;) |
