Toys....Do your babies..... Remove all of the toys out of their toy boxes/bin and don't play with them? Bentley takes EVERY single toy out, puts it on the carpet and then jumps,on the couch and sits beside me. Uhhh, why? Lol It really is cute to watch, but uh, no fun for ME to put back. :p |
Don't even get me started on toys. Between Scooter and his sis, they must have 10,000 toys. I can't go to the store and pass up the toys without buying them EACH the same toy. They love, love, love these little foxes and will defend them to the death from each other. Scooter's sis likes to take both of them in her mouth and run through the house with Scooter hot on her tail barking his head off. Gotta love em......... |
Mine plays with them, but for about a 1/2 a minute and then moves to the next one for 1/2 minute and so on. Within 5 minutes, we have toys strewn all over the house lol |
Every day. And if I pack them back up in his big toy basket before bedtime, they are soon all out again, whether or not he plays with them. And he puts some of them in various places all over the den and living room and even other rooms in the house and some up on the couch and bed and in chairs. I don't get it but he cannot stand his toys neatly stacked away in the toy basket - they are put all over. |
Mine do not make a mess with toys. The toys are always kept neat by the kids. Brody is very toy centric and will put all his toys 'where they belong' per Brody. He will get down to pick them up off the floor if they fall off of the love seat (toy box # 1) or our bed (toy box # 2) so they are always 'put away' and will tote them from an 'incorrect' toy box to the 'correct' toy box for that particular toy...and he knows each toy by name and where it 'lives'...per Brody! :D |
Yep. Blazer seems to have a problem with the toy box. The only time the toys actually stay IN the box is when he isn't around. If he sees me start to put toys away he is right there pulling them back out again. |

Joel doesn't make a mess, he mostly plays with a toy if I get it. Within a few days there will be some laying around but he never empties they toy box:) |
morgan does the same thing// he will take all of his toys out of the tub and he will spread them all over the living room and then he plays with a few |
Huey will only continue to bring out toys until he finds one "his humans" want to play with. If I or hubby are ignoring him, he will bring out toy after toy until he can get someone to play.:D |

Sometimes, Bentley will take all the toys out just to get in the toybox and sit. My other two do not care too much for toys, which I find odd. |
Lol yes my living room always has dog toys all over |
Max, thinks stuffed toys are real and only nips at them! Teeka plays with toys only when we or the grandkids get them out! My 1 1/2 year old granddaughter gets all the dogs toys out and plays with them and she will leave them all over the house! :lol tears |
Sometimes the girls do this too, especially if they see me putting them back in the toy box. Apparently I didn't get the memo where the toys DO NOT belong in the toy box.. silly me! |

Sadly, no...I cannot take credit for training Brody to do this. ;):p:D He was like this from the minute we brought him home...more or less. We thought he had toys that would be coming with him, but there were no toys...and we had not bought him any because we didn't know what he already had. So, having kitties, we had small balls, mice, and a big stuffed rat...perfect for a Yorkie! At first, he rounded up the few toys we gave him into one small area on the rug after playing with them. If you moved a toy out, he would put it back. Then we got more toys, and I gave them to him on the love seat...which became toy box # 1. So, any toy INITIALLY given to him on the love seat was always taken 'home' to toy box # 1. Then I found the cutest iced doughnut stuffie at Walgreen's when I ran in for something else. I gave that to him on our bed...which became toy box # 2. At this time, we didn't know he was so neat with his toys. Other toys were added to both toy boxes, then when we got Mia a few months later, she was originally unclear of the "Brody Toy Management Rules" and carried a toy she from our bed out to the living room love seat to continue playing with it. Brody's expression...? OMG...he was completely 'stumped' as to 'why' anyone could make that particular mistake. :p He waited patiently until she put down the toy, then grabbed it and carried it back to our bedroom and up onto our bed, then returned to the love seat like nothing ever happened...all was again 'right' with the world. :D Note the neat grouping of toys... |

I am laughing so hard. That is the cutest story. Thanks for sharing!:D |
I like reading everyone's cute stories. Heidi does like a lot of the rest of the them. She keeps bring me toy after toy until she finally finds the one I'll play with. Then its like 30 seconds of play and she's done while she stares at me like she's thinking "You go get it, you threw it." I have to wait till she's in a different room to pick them up or she gets them all back out again, scattered everywhere. |
Amy does the same. Takes every one out and then decided what she wants to play with and I swear it is usually the first one she took out. Got her this cute little sock monkey bed and she won't use it so the toys go in it. Getting to many toys for it so will have to get something else for her. She also thinks the sock monkey bed is a toy. She drags it all over the house. |

Well yesterday when my Bentley was at doggie daycare at my parents, did he took all his toys out of his playpen. He decided though that was not enough. He grabbed his bed by the tag and drug it out as well. Needless to say my dad clipped the tag. ;) |
ZoE used to pick up her toys and put them in her toy box when I told her to, at clean up time. Then somewhere along the way she figured out, that after each time we picked up the toys, the big, bad, hoover came out to eat the stuff on the floor and there was no way she was going to risk that thing coming out early and eating her! So now when I tell her to pick up toys, she grabs her favorite toy (a cheap $2 squeaky fish from Meijer) and jumps on the couch & won't come down. She'll stay there until I'm done picking up stuff off the floor & while I vacuum. Then, when I'm all done, & I've wrapped up the cord & start wheeling the vacuum down the hallway to the closet where I store it...she jumps off the couch & barks at it as it rolls back to storage. Strange dog :p |
My little man only plays with soft YELLOW vinyl toys so he drags out all of them until he come to those. He is 9 1/2 years old and has always been that way.:D |
Hazel takes every single one of her toys out and will carry them one by one from the bedroom into the livingroom when we have company like a toddler showing her new toys off to the guest and she'll wait to get petted or rubbed or something just to know she has your attention |
I LOVE all these stories!!! What a clever bunch of Yorkies! :D |
As many here, I have an abundance of Toys for my guys, and I've noticed something "strange"... Males seem to prefer larger Toys, while Females seem to prefer smaller ones. Are yours like that ? |

It takes you longer to pick them up, and take them back to the room they belong in, than it does to vacuum the room they were in. :D |
