Monty's vet visit and size I thought I would give an update regarding Monty's visit to the vet for the first time in Canada :) One of his canine teeth had fallen out before the visit (his top two baby canines had been retained) so we have decided to wait a bit to see if the other will fall out on its own too. Since he is now 9 months old I did not think it would ever happen but they are not too close to each other, there is no food impacted causing gum disease or any discomfort whatsoever. The vet was thrilled with Monty's large size, his comment was that he was extremely athletically built. After talking at length he asked us if we would consider trying Monty in agility since his build is perfect for it and he thinks it would be a lot of fun for him. My vet and his vet wife are both involved and I am considering it for Monty as long as he is having fun and getting exercise I think it will be a blast to see a yorkie involved in this :) I will keep you all posted on his career in agility lol |

yay, monty. i am glad the visit went well..:) |
I've wondered about Yorkies in agility classes. Scooter is soooo fast. When I throw his Frisbee he dances and watches it with such concentration it's something to see. He literally flies after it and takes it down like a pro. I know Yorkies are usually very fast and love to chase things but I've never seen any in agility competition. |
What a terrific "check up". For the retained canine....give him raw beef bones and cow hooves. They work wonders with retained baby teeth. I know of some yorkies and biewers involved with agility...you and he will enjoy it! |
