Lost Yorkie in My Home Town :( This breaks my heart. I wish she had not left him in the car, but I also wish Law Enforcement cared more about pets. After you read this, tell me if you have the same question I have..why can't they trace the phone? Timeline Photos | Facebook |

I am not sure which is worse, the fact that she left her precious dog in the car or that the idiot that stole the dog left the cellphone and the police cannot do anything. Why do people continuously leave there precious dogs in cars, tied to post, and outside unsupervised!Isn't it against the law to leave your dog in a car? If the windows are down, then it is just as idiotic. These are the top ways to get your precious dog (who also happens to be the within the top 5 most wanted dogs and stolen) taken from you. People just don't get it or like to think it wont happen to them. Now home invasions etc. are a totally different situation. I have no sympathy for such a foolish act, but I do hope they have a safe return of their dog. |
So sad I would check with the service provider of that phone and see if you can find out something. They may not give info to individual but to police. It makes me angry when the do nothing. As someone said on the FB page if a big screen TV was stolen...Yorkie can be as expensive as a big screen TV so why is it not theft. Did the store have surveillance cameras. I live in LA and would never leave a dog in a car as theft is big here. I saw a guy riding a bike around my grocery store looking into cars as he rode by them . I informed security but.... I am so sorry for the Yorkie and their owner. I hope there is a happy ending. Sending prayers. |
It's just very common in these small southern towns to take your dogs along with you. We have not had really cold nor really hot weather lately so no windows needed to be down. I'm not defending the act. I agree that one shouldn't leave their animal in the car, but that is from life's lessons and learning. Just not abnormal around these parts for this to take place. No matter what...the dog should not have been stolen. I'm just not understanding why they can't find out the owner of the phone...maybe it was a prepaid tracphone..? dunno |

The phone company will not give you any info and for them to release any info to the police a subpena has to be involved. They cannot get a subpena unless charges are or will be brought up and thats not happening because the police are not getting involved. |
Do you know how much Oliver weighs? |
BTW... what time did this happen? Was it broad daylight or evening/night? I just can't believe they left the cellphone in the car and the police cannot do anything. |
I saw a post on Craigslist for a Yorkie in Hoover for 100 dollars.... It had no pic so of course I emailed them. They sent me a picture but it is a side view. Say that he was 14lb pounds. I don't know if this is Oliver but Hoover wouldn't be far to drive to sell a stolen dog :/ |

I don't know anything else other than what was on that facebook article/post. I may try to call the girl sometime today and ask some info about weight, notable traits and such. Thank you all for your input. I hate that the police can't do anything with the phone :( |
The people on Craigslist sent me a pic (not a good one and side view so hard to compare) but when I started asking questions they stopped responding. SWEET YORKIE. This was the post. If you pm me your email or cell I will forward the pic they sent me. |
